Who this page is for
You should use one of the methods below if any of the following apply:
- You hold a Cosemble account and want to delete your workspace.
- You messaged a business on WhatsApp (or another channel) that uses Cosemble, and you want that business — or Cosemble — to delete the messages and contact data we processed about you.
- You are a developer or business that has connected a Meta / WhatsApp Business account to Cosemble and need to revoke or delete the integration data.
End users (people who messaged a business): Cosemble processes your messages on behalf of the business that operates the agent. We will assist that business in fulfilling your deletion request. You may also contact the business directly — in most cases they can delete your data faster than we can.
Method 1 — Self-service in Studio (account holders)
If you have a Cosemble account, you can delete most data directly:
- Sign in at studio.cosemble.dev.
- Open your workspace.
- Navigate to Contacts or Conversations.
- Select the records you want to remove and choose Delete.
- For full account closure, go to Settings → Workspace → Danger zone → Delete workspace.
Account closure permanently removes contacts, conversations, knowledge bases, workflows, and configuration data within 30 days. Some logs and backups may persist briefly within the retention windows described in our Privacy Policy.
Method 2 — Email request
If you cannot use Studio (you don't have an account, or you are an end user), send an email request:
Subject: Data Deletion Request
Include in the body:
- The channel you used (WhatsApp, web chat, etc.).
- Your WhatsApp phone number (in international format, e.g.
+60123456789) or the email address you used. - The business or workspace name you interacted with, if known.
- A short description of what you want deleted.
We respond to requests within 30 days. We may ask for additional information to verify the request — this is to protect you, not to delay deletion.
Method 3 — Meta / Facebook Login Integration deletion
If you connected a Cosemble account using Facebook Login, or if you are removing a WhatsApp Business integration:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Find Cosemble in the list of connected apps.
- Click Remove.
- To request deletion of data we have already received, follow Method 2 above.
Removing the integration from Facebook revokes our access going forward but does not, by itself, delete data we have already processed. Send a deletion request to [email protected] to remove existing data.
What we delete
When you request deletion, we remove:
- Your account profile (if you are an account holder).
- Your workspace contents — workflows, knowledge bases, configuration.
- Contact records — phone numbers, names, identifiers.
- Conversation messages, media files, and metadata.
- Observability traces and logs associated with your data.
- Cached or derived data (e.g. embeddings) used to retrieve your content.
What may be retained
We may retain limited information when required:
- Billing records — retained for the period required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
- Logs needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or security investigations — retained for the period necessary to address the matter.
- Backups — data is purged from rolling backups within 30 days of primary-storage deletion.
Retained data is not used for any purpose other than the specific legal or security purpose stated, and access is restricted accordingly.
Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete. If you do not hear back within 30 days, please email [email protected] with the subject "Deletion follow-up".
